Beach tags
Required for everyone 12 and older. The season runs June 1 – September 7, 2026. Head east on 34th Street, past West, Asbury, Central, Wesley, to the beach.

Daily and weekly tags are sold at beach entrances, by tag sellers on the beach and at boardwalk booths. Seasonal tags are also sold online.
Veterans and active military (and their families) receive free seasonal tags with ID.

Ocean City's boardwalk runs about 2.5 miles, from St. James Place to 23rd Street. From 34th Street, its south end at 23rd Street is 11 blocks north.

Ocean City is a dry town
Ocean City is a dry town. Alcohol isn't sold anywhere in the city, and it isn't allowed on the beach, on the boardwalk or in restaurants.
